OmegaCon is a convention dedicated to exploring who we are in this world transcending time and space! In games we can explore our selves in new ways and allow new strategies, ideals and personalities to determine our actions with out real world consequences.
Games Provide us with an opportunity to break out of our normal zone and try new things. The Game designers and futurist Jane McGonigal says “The real world just doesn’t offer up as easily the carefully designed pleasures, the thrilling challenges, and the powerful social bonding afforded by virtual environments.” In a game we can enter into a world beyond reality to explore new possibilities, make new connections and allow imagination/creativity to run wild.
